Its a new world after all...

I was able to stomach about an hour and a half or so of the tribute to the King info-mercial-- UH-- Democratic National Convention Day one.
I sure am glad that my belief that the republicans were the ones that pushed through affirmative action EEO in the 60's was corrected tonight. I had no idea that the Hon senator from mass by way of chappaquidick was the man responsible for this nation changing event.

When I hear the answers on why it is ok for someone to completely reverse an unequivical stand that should be based on strongly held beliefs because after all things said in the middle of a campaign to get elected are just lies that need to be given air time as feel good sound bites and is perfectly acceptable conduct by someone desiring a leadership position just blows me away. This type of explanation can lead to only 2 conclusions--either the politicians spouting these lies are completely without any kind of core beliefs and believe their audience is to stupid to catch them at it, we the American public are too stupid or lazy to demand accountablity or both are true. In any case a sad state of affairs.

I normally have little regard for mr. carville but if the statement laid at his feet tonight regarding his comment about the convention is true it will be the first point that I have been able to find agreement with him. But really is he just now realizing that the democratic party as it is today doesn't have any kind of a realistic cohesive agenda that makes any kind or real life sense.
