Barack And A Hard Place

I just do not get it. I understand why the left are predisposed to bow to the messiah no matter the gaff, but it is beyond me why even conservative leaning commentators like O'reilly seem to be hell bent on always giving Obama the benefit of the doubt whenever he does something stupid.
The most overused catchall for forgiveness seems to be: One must honor the Office of the President even if you disagree with the holder of that office. This is true however it should not be an unconditional get out of jail card for the person who more than any one should always have as his top of mind issue, that any thing done or said by the holder of that office directly and immediately has an impact on that office; both at home and abroad friend and foe alike.
During the latest white house correspondence dinner held to roast and toast the president the actions of the messiah when listening to the downright hateful, base and vulgar diatribe flowing from comedian Wanda Sykes blasting Rush Limbaugh, Hannity and Palin who were not even at the event was innapropriate at best. I don't care if Obama personally hates each of those people-as president it his duty to protect the office and not condone such behavior.
Obama Laughing and looking for approbation from those sitting at his table when hearing someone wish for the painful death of Rush Limbaugh was disgusting and not in keeping with the respect the holder of the office of the president should display. When I hear commentators say that you have to give Obama the benefit of the doubt because he is expected to take roasting in a spirit of good will when the comments aren't about him is misleading. Hateful comments uttered in the presidents' presence during public events should be quickly and vehemently knocked down. Maybe not right then but certainly as soon as the event has concluded. Laughing at those type of vulgar and hateful comments is never OK.
