I was amazed that the panel Newt was speaking to, did not interrupt and attack him, as he-- in a factual and dispassionate way-- tore up the "feelings about global warming" held by Gore and many on the left and the right, that haven't taken the time to get the facts.

From late night with Jay Leno to I will not accept a resignation from Geitner (what a guy) our leader in chief seems to have a total disconnect with any type of traditional moral or ethical stabilizing foundation. His recent discourse on those two subjects in yet another trip to the media demostrates hubris of unimaginable proportions.

For someone that has spent close to a million dollars to keep the public from being able to gain insight into what/where Obama actually holds dear IE his college financial statements and transcripts to his long form birth certificate proving his eligibility to hold the office of the President it certainly cries fowl as to his moral and ethical standards. So much for his sermon from the mount on a new and totally transparent government.

But hey why stop there how about no lobbyists will be in my administration- UH except for the ones I appoint. OR every bill proposed by the legislative branch will be put into the public domain for 5 days so that the PEOPLE can see what is being proposed and have an input-(change we need and yes we can silently fading to an echo) Except for the ones that aren't - can anyone say AIG, well to be fair why should we complain when the representatives, other than the sponsor of that bill, didn't get to read it either but voted for its' passage anyway and now are howling from the rooftops in outrage because they don't want to be tarred and feathered for malfeasance.

I remember President Bush commenting once that on a daily basis he had to go to the Lord in Prayer-always striving to ensure that his actions were in line with what he believed a superior intelligence would counsel.

It seems that the only thing Obama believes is superior to him [after all how many times has he said- I won - I am the president] is his belief that what is mine is mine and what is yours is mine.

With just the couple of items discussed above-forget about all of the other issues we could discuss (global swarming-melting polar icecaps-funding abortion around the globe regardless of your view point-degradation of safety regarding terrorists-cap and trade-dishonest and inept congress-we could go on and on)--the point is: Americans have fallen victim to what I have dubbed OSS of S Obama Socialist stress syndrome. It seems we have lost the ability to believe that we can make our desires a reality as it relates to our governmental representatives. One can understand when the citizens at an 80% and higher percentage tell congress that they do not support a proposed bill and congress does it anyway.

Unfortunately; or maybe it is a good thing--just like delayed stress syndrome from war time events-many times the afflicted individual reacts in a violent and unpredictable manner-I feel that millions of Americans are approaching that breaking point and are about to take drastic measures to take their government back, maybe that is why Obama and his appointee's are working so hard to make it difficult for the citizens to keep and bear arms or at least remove easy access to the ammunition for their arms if they aren't confiscated. Ever hear of HR 45.

Jefferson promoted a minor revolution every 20 years or as an argument to keep from pressures building up with overeaching government and having to deal with a major and debilitating conflict. Maybe we should have listened.

An oath (from Anglo-Saxon að, also called plight) is either a promise or a statement of fact calling upon something or someone that the oath maker considers sacred, usually God, as a witness to the binding nature of the promise or the truth of the statement of fact. To swear is to take an oath.

Article 2 of the the United States Constitution prescribes that the President must take the oath "before he enter on the Execution of his Office".

The oath of office of the President of the United States is an oath or affirmation required by the United States Constitution before the President begins the execution of the office.

38 words and a bible by convention (or another book) to anknowledge that the oath maker is calling upon a higher authority to bear witness to the bingding nature of his promise.

As one popular jingle goes "so easy a cave man could do it".

Not so in the case of our bigger than life new president-(at least for the present) until his status of even being a legitimate holder of the office is ferreted out.

In his excitement to hurry up and get his swearing in over so that he could get access to executive power, he cut off the officiating official in mid sentence causing him to mis speak the required order of words necessary to take on the mantle of power. Strike one.

The oath was again presented incorrectly missing one of the words. Strike two.

The oath was repeated in the original incorrect sequence. Strike three. But left there to get on with the circus.

After review by constitutional scholars the decision was made that the oath requirements neccessary to gain access to legitimate executive power had not been fulfilled properly and in an excess of caution would be readministered in private.

This time the words were recited and repeated correctly in the proper sequence BUT THE BIBLE WAS LEFT OUT. Strike four.

The requirement is that the oath must be sworn to with a book in hand that bears evidence that the oath is being sworn to by a higher power, that the oath taker acknowledges as having that power, in order to provide evidence of the binding power of his oath. By convention in America, it is the Bible. Not so for Obama. When questioned, his response was it wasn't necessary, He was just doing the redo as a matter of form.

The question is: if the original swearing in ceremony was conflicted enough to be considered invalid and requiring it to be done again correctly, anything sworn to in that event became null and void, so in the repeat of the oath who or what exactly was Obama putting in play as required as the binding authority.

Once again he didn't get it right and some are saying he needs to do it over and this time do it right--his response not necessary. Constitution? Whats that got to do with it?

I guess maybe his followers have it right--he is the messiah and therefor doesn't need to make an oath to a higher power- THE ONE is enough.

Just one more item to add to the list of the things that do not matter:
No records
No birth certificate
No Constitution
No God

He paid some of the taxes in 2006 after an audit discovered the discrepancy for the years 2003 and 2004. But it wasn't until two years later, days before Obama tapped him to head Treasury last November, that Geithner paid back taxes he owed for the years 2001 and 2002.

OK first I did my own taxes covering 2 years and didn't pay tax on money earned outside the us, then I had a professional service do my taxes and didn't provide them the information on money outside the US and didn't pay taxes on those two years.

I get caught when my name comes up to head the department that runs the IRS and pay 2 years that were caught in the audit.

Either he isn't competent to run the department that collects taxes by his own admission, or more likely just like most of the people in power in DC he is fully aware of what he was doing and was just caught cheating and figured he would get a pass. In either case it dumbfounds me that politicians from both sides of the aisle acknoweldge that his conduct is unfortunate but will be confirmed anyway. This blows me away, but it looks like his viewpoint of getting a pass was justified.

I can just imagine that a regular citizen caught with such major lapses in judgement or ability would seriously be considered to be hired to say run a companies payroll..yeah right!

Am I nuts or does it seem like everyone has just turned off their ability to think  about  what they are endorsing.

I have 2 points to make regarding Obama's Oath of office:
1. It is no wonder that the chief justice had a hard time getting the words out of his mouth to swear in Obama. After all, he and his cohorts have spent the last 3 months (with more scheduled during the upcoming weeks), in closed conference deciding if they have the moral courage to take on one of the many cases that are before the court demanding that Obama provide evidence that he is a legitimate person to hold the office of the president- a simple thing to prove and something that Obama to date has spent north of $800,000.00 dollars to keep under wraps. All he needs do is produce his original long form birth certificate at a cost of about $10.00 in most states. Unfortunately the justices in spite of hundreds of thousands of letters asking them to do their duty and ensure that the constitution of the united states is followed and held sancrosanct have to date not found the courage to ask for such a simple document that virtually every american provides every day to obtain identification/jobs/passports and a myriad of other documents required by various authorities.

Lord help us and keep us safe from all enemies foreign an domestic. Do not turn your face away from us even though we do not deserve your patience. Forgive us as our nation seems to be in a death spiral of moral decay, depravity and greed.

2. Being the wordsmith that Obama claims to be I am sure that he meant exactly every word he uttered in his "bungling " of the oath of office to wit: I am sure he intends to "execute" ( and in this case I believe he is using the definition associated with :To Kill) the office of the president and He will *faithfully* carry out that mission.

This post is going to cover 4 topics: Character-Judgment-Common Sense-Executive Experience

Character: Obama: what can I say. He has in the main blocked every attempt to find out what has shaped his character. The only thing we can look at is what he has done and who he associates himself with over time to form an opinion. To be fair any conclusion formed will not be the most accurate because due to Obama's policies keep us from digging past the surface. But left with nothing else lets take a look. The five main area's we can look at are his status as a natural born citizen (one of the basic qualifications to even be eligible for the presidency), his education, his friends and supporters, his career accomplishments, and his stated social views.

When concerns were raised about Obama's status as a qualified candidate to be president, the quickest simplest thing to have done was provide his original or certified hard copy of his long form birth certificate. His response-did not provide this and as the issue escalated to a court fight to provide this information did everything in his power to have the issue dismissed versus just providing the document.

2.) He attended with the exception of his first 2 years of college, private or exclusive schools. For someone that talks of his struggle as a member of an underserved class of people he sure seems to have been able somehow to attend the most exclusive expensive halls of learning available in this country- from his exclusive school in Hawaii to the Halls of Harvard. How did he do this? Who knows He refuses to allow his college transcripts and financial aid documents to be seen.

3.) As far as his associations/friends/supporters: The only personal ones on display from Reverend Wright to Bill Ayers/Rezco/Acorn+ a whole list with ties to extreme terrorist organizations to long to put here, when they became a liability Obama's response has been to attempt to distance himself by condeming their actions (when forced) but never the person with the exception of Reverend Wright (only after being personally chastised), when called out on these associations the response by Obama or his surrogates is to divert the attention by rolling out the flag of "guilt by association". 4.) As far as his accomplishments: his greatest claim to fame is his role as a community organizor, other than promoting a bunch of programs that have not delivered as promised that financially benefited himself and some of his associates that he has thrown under the bus. The fact that he served in the Il senate with a ton of present votes and the 4 months out of 3+ years in the senate actually showing up for work when he took a break from the campaign for his next job-what experience of relevance has he provided for review? Let alone any kind of executive experience.

5.) I will only address 2 of his public social views: Abortion and social promotion, Obama is not shy at all about his stance on the ending of a babies life in or out of the womb immediately after birth and his promotion of his "spread the wealth" and  womb to tomb government stance.

Any clear thinking individual taking a dispassionate look at these 5 things as they relate to character, judgement, and experience would have to conclude that this candidate is seriously flawed as someone that will in an honest open and conservative manner. If this is the type of Country you are in favor of then your choice should be clear.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama's qualifications to be president.

U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick on Friday night rejected the suit by attorney Philip J. Berg, who alleged that Obama was not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency. Berg claimed that Obama is either a citizen of his father's native Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia after he moved there as a boy.

Obama was born in Hawaii to an American mother and a Kenyan father. His parents divorced and his mother married an Indonesian man.
